Larkin is a wonderful teacher who helped me achieve an official 178 score on my LSAT. I really appreciated that Larkin did not take an overly didactic approach to teaching the test - he did not treat the LSAT as some kind of flow chart where specific question types demand specific approaches, and did not treat the test as something to be "game-ified". Instead, he helped me materially improve those skills that the exam is testing for. My scores not only improved, but became significantly more consistent.

Larkin's help was also invaluable in terms of helping me psychologically work through the test. He recognized instances where I was working against myself by pushing or pressing, and helped me identify how to develop a healthier approach that I believe materially helped me on test day. I would recommend Larkin without hesitation.

Larkin is an incredible teacher, and took the time and effort to customize tutoring to my particular needs. He not only guided me through the LSAT material, but also helped ground my mentality throughout the studying process. I improved my score while working with Larkin, from a 158 diagnostic to a 176 on the exam. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic LSAT tutor!

Larkin is an incredible tutor who is part performance coach and part exam psychologist. Like any difficult task, Larkin finds where your weaknesses and strengths are, and helps hone in and make the exam work for you. Additionally, he makes sure that you are learning the concepts behind the exam, and not just the content itself. The margin of error on the modern LSAT is extremely small, so you need someone who will push you to the exact right limit so that you can achieve your highest score. I went from a 155 initial exam ->169 first take -> 174 second take. Highly recommend.

I greatly enjoyed working with Larkin and highly recommend using his services! Over the course of 8 months studying with him, my diagnostic scores went from the mid 150s to the mid 170s. My performance on the September LSAT was 15 points higher than my initial diagnostic. I'm pretty impressed with this improvement, as I honestly was not studying very much outside of our sessions (not that I would recommend that, it's just what I did!).

Larkin's teaching methods are holistic, and they focus on increasing your critical thinking skills rather than just rote memorization. This was helpful for me because it allows for a more relaxed approach, where you can sit back and trust your skills rather than just hope that some specific type of problem appears on the exam. Also, increasing my critical thinking skills positively impacted other areas of my life, which made studying for the LSAT seem less like some annoying hoop that I had to jump through.

I really appreciated that Larkin tailored his approach to me as an individual--he made every effort to determine why I specifically was missing certain problems and figure out exactly where I went wrong, rather than just offer a cookie-cutter explanation or tell me how he would have done it. Totally different than any material you can get from a book or online course.

Larkin is also adept at the coaching side of things (ie how the LSAT impacts you psychologically). If you've spent any time at all studying for the LSAT, you will be familiar with the roller coaster of emotions that it can elicit. Larkin never made me feel dumb and was very encouraging throughout the whole process.

Larkin has been able to make this into a career because he's really, really good at it! Worth the investment!

The best LSAT tutor out there! I cannot recommend Larkin enough to anyone preparing for the LSAT.

When I first met with Larkin I was enrolled in a Kaplan LSAT course, but I wasn't seeing the improvement I wanted. I found the class to be slow and too focused on tricks to handle every different question type, rather than really learning how to take the test and build the right skillset. I was referred to Larkin and told he was "the best LSAT tutor in the country." At first I was skeptical, but I gave him a call. Don't be scared off by his frankness when you first speak, he truly is the best LSAT tutor and I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their score.

Larkin's approach to the test is very different from Kaplan and other test prep courses (as far as I understand them). He focuses on skill building and critical thinking rather than tricks and ways to beat the test. Tutoring sessions are tailored to your needs and the areas you feel you need to work on, which really helps to build confidence as well as a strong skill set. Larkin really helped me understand the best approach to each section which led to great improvement in my score--I eventually scored 11 points higher than my original diagnostic test.

Not only was working with Larkin helpful when it came to understanding the test and building critical thinking skills, but he also helped me deal with extreme test anxiety which was originally a huge impediment to my success on the LSAT. Talking with Larkin during tutoring sessions allowed me to work through and overcome my anxiety so it didn't have an overpowering effect on test day. He is incredibly understanding and patient when reviewing questions and talking about the test. Meeting with Larkin is pleasant and we would often joke and have very interesting discussions, which made the tutoring environment relaxed and enjoyable. I believe this really helped my test prep in the long run as the process was far less painless than preparing for the LSAT can be.

Larkin is easy to work with and very flexible with scheduling. He is quick to answer calls and texts with questions or concerns about the test and he was happy to work with my schedule to make sure our meeting times were convenient, even when I was balancing studying with a full time job.

Working with Larkin helped me greatly improve my LSAT score, combat extreme test anxiety, and better understand the entire law school application process. I would highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the LSAT.

Larkin is an incredible tutor. I came to him with about six weeks left before the test, when my scores had begun to flatline. I had tried working with one of the large LSAT prep agencies, but didn't find them helpful past a pretty basic level. Larkin, however, was able to push me well past all my previous bests, and after our work together I scored a 177 on the actual test.

Larkin knows the LSAT extremely well, but doesn't focus on teaching question types or even clever test-taking tricks. His emphasis is on critical thinking - partly because he really believes in the intrinsic value of critical thought, but also because the LSAT is ultimately just a test of applied critical thinking. I never much liked learning to game tests myself, but however you normally approach these types of test, there's no denying that Larkin's method is extremely effective.

Larkin is an amazing tutor with a really strong grasp of the LSAT. I started working with him after I had been testing in the same range for a while on my practice tests. He worked with me to rethink the way I was approaching the questions and I was able to improve my score a lot. I am so grateful for his advice and would definitely recommend him to others.

In the LSAT Prep/LSAT tutoring universe, Larkin is second to none. I worked with Larkin for several months leading up to the January 2020 LSAT, after nearly a year of self-study and work with other tutors.

Larkin's approach was different in almost every way. He approached each session in a laid back, comforting manner that went beyond logic games and test strategy, to help me understand myself as a test taker. Larkin's method is unique in that it extends beyond the traditional tutoring approach of "when this happens, do that" to help his students on a individual level. Larkin works slowly and methodically to understand each student as a thinking individual. From there, he develops an understanding of how one approaches the issues and questions of the test. The value of Larkin's teaching is hard to convey only because its value is so rare. Larkin teaches his students how to become better at reasoning, analysis and critical thought, the abilities the LSAT seeks to measure. LSAT Score improvement seems to come almost naturally, and lasting improvement comes in a big way.

The byproduct of Larkin's personalized approach is improved mental health and confidence, a real triumph for a test that causes so much stress. Larkin's method fosters a healthy approach to studying and preparing for the test. Before working with Larkin, I was constantly beating myself up and my practice scores would peak and valley almost manically. Through his help my perception of the gravity of the test, and my self-image improved to a point where I actually looked forward to taking the LSAT.

All said and done, I improved 11 points after I had convinced myself I had already hit my ultimate potential. I was admitted to T14 Schools and feel confident that Larkin's methodology prepared me for more than just the LSAT. Larkin is the real deal and a true asset for anyone considering the LSAT and Law School. My only complaint is that I hadn't worked with him sooner.
