I can't say enough positive things about Shannon and Shinebright. I was in a rut professionally and definitely at a crossroads in my career when I came to her. I'm a photographer who has always been sure about my path but Shinebright took my knowledge of myself and the love of my work to the next level. It's so valuable to know your strengths and the experience left me invigorated. After taking the strengths test and receiving the results, it was very interesting seeing my strengths on paper but what was extremely valuable was the two sessions I had with Shannon after the testing. She took the time and asked the right questions to really open up what my strengths were, what they meant and, most importantly, how to continue to use them to excel not only in my career but in my day-to-day life. Shannon is very kind and patient. I could tell it was just as important to her as it was to me to fully understand my top five strengths and that care made the process easy. I've been in my current job for a number of years; was definitely in a rut and needed to understand what next steps could be, and if I had the skills to survive a new job search. Working with Meike has been a wonderful and enlightening experience. She has helped me discover and understand my strengths, how I got here, what I bring to the job and what happens when those strengths aren't put to good use. While I'm still in the midst of determining if a new job search is in my future (given all the external circumstances), I feel like I am armed with a better self-awareness so that I can adjust and be more energized in my current work life while I determine my next steps.

They were able to help guide me to fully understand my personal strengths and how to hone those talents and utilize them in my career. Two years ago, I realized that the trajectory of my future wasn't aligned with what I had in mind my life. I decided it was time to bring in a coach to help me out. I talked to two coaches, but they weren't a good fit. Then came Shannon. When I talked to her, it was an instant connection; she just got me. My first session with Shannon began with discussing the results from the Strengths test. Because one of her strengths is empathy, she was able to connect with me on a personal level. During our sessions, we discussed how I can leverage my strengths in all areas of my life and how to partner my strengths with my goals. This gave me an anchor and good foundation in both my personal and professional life. Throughout our time together, I gained clarity, focus and confidence to achieve my goals and dreams. I always thought that as individuals, we're given each tools. Those tools are our strengths and yours are different from other people. Having Shannon as a coach is like having your own personal guide. She helped me sharpen my tools and now I'm able to use them to their best abilities. As I began my search for a job in a field relatively new to me, I found Shannon’s assessment and coaching to be extremely beneficial in helping me to dive deeper into previously unconsidered strengths. The coaching not only shed new light upon my talents, but also taught me ways to utilize them both in the workplace and while seeking a new career. What I’ve learned has already saved me a considerable amount of time and energy by focusing my job search on positions where I know I would excel and feel personal fulfillment. I feel confident to successfully interview armed with talking points I would have never thought to address. Shannon even provided positive solutions for areas that I saw as deficiencies, focusing on utilizing existing talents to address other perceived shortcomings. It's true that I could not have been more skeptical about this coaching thing when I started, but Meike has chopped through my tangled vines of distrust in a (relatively) short amount of time. She has taught me how to see strength in my character where I had previously only seen weakness. Still a work in progress, no doubt, but the experience has been remarkably impressive thus far.
