Dr. Lynne worked with my twins for over two years and in that time they gained stronger reading and writing skills which then boosted their personal confidence, and she taught them about their own ability to complete their work. She always showed supportive encouragement and dedication to their progress. Working with Lynne was always a pleasure for my boys and for me.

Psychologists are either passive or aggressive, you know which one I am" Dr. Lynn Thrope

This is a quote from the very last time I spoke with Dr Lynn.

I wouldn't recommend Dr Lynn or The Reading Room to my worst enemy. My son (7) and I went six or seven times in 2 weeks. My son, now officially diagnosed with dyslexia, did not want to go into the office one day and instead climbed a tree. Dr Lynn and I tried to coax him out of the tree and into the office.  Dr Lynn threatened to call the police on him, he ran to my car and hid inside. At this time I should have trusted his/my intuition and left. Instead, I allowed Dr Lynn to bring him back, she directed me to the office while she got him from the car. A few seconds later she was dragging him into the office by the back of his shorts while he cried and screamed. He was scared and she was a beast.  I was frozen in disbelief... Almost a year later, I still struggle with the fact that I allowed this person to block the door and not allow my son to find a place that felt safe.

It has taken me a long time to post this review because I was horrified that I failed to protect my son in this situation. My hope is to inform others, with my honest experience with Dr Lynn at The Reading Room.

Furthermore, during our last conversation Dr Lynn said my son does not have dyslexia, which he does, and needs to go to anger management instead of being tested for learning disabilities.

Dr. Lynne is AMAZING. She has helped my daughter (dyslexic) move from 2+ grades behind to being at/above grade level. She was so helpful as we were going through the testing/IEP process, and made some great suggestions for testing and accommodation. I will be honest, the school system has done little (nothing?) to help my daughter, it has 100% been Dr. Lynne.
