I have been writing poetry since I was in jr. high. About five years ago I decided to get serious about my writing. As a mother, teacher, counselor & principal I had a front row seat witnessing the negative impact childhood trauma plays in individuals’ lives. I had a collection of poetry & art work that described the connection between trauma & substance abuse, decline in emotional & physical health & incarceration. I knew I wanted to publish this body of work & I needed someone as passionate about this subject as myself & my illustrator. I found that in Publishing Concepts. I want to share my positive experience in working with Publishing Concepts. I wrote a careers guide and workbook that needed to be converted to a spiral book form and the finished product was so impressive!
