Working with Dr. Lin has helped me feel so much more confident with my college apps! She helped me pick and filter out topics I had previously chosen but would not have been good to write about. Dr. Lin is truly one of the most compassionate and dedicated mentors I've had. When it came to the college-application process, she spent hours of her time helping me with essays and offering additional support whenever I needed it. Dr Lin is truly a rare find. I have had trial sessions with other college counselors so I can make comparisons on their advice-giving style. Others mostly give you surface level advice with minor tweaks and also aren't actually being engaged in the brainstorming process. Dr. Lin is the complete opposite. She dives deep as she inquires you about your past 17 years of life leading up to your application to college. She helps uncover parts of yourself that you may not have noticed and allows you to properly convey yourself in the essays. She is unafraid to voice her advice and is very direct in doing so, an aspect of her tutelage that I respect. My essays would've looked very bland without Dr. Lin's help (as I'm not a very good writer myself), and I am very glad to have chosen Dr. Lin as my counselor. Would highly recommend!
