Not a fan of this facility. It is constantly dirty and smells. Staff are more worried about playing on their phones than taking care of their residents. When a resident has hit their call button it either goes unanswered or they are left to wait for a long period of time. Residents are often left to lay in their own urine and feces for longer than what they should. Resident rooms are constantly dirty, smelly, with sticky floors. Residents are left to lay on bare mattresses. This facility is always under staffed. The staff that is there are from an agency which means the staffing is inconsistent and there is someone new everyday. When a problem does arise and you voice your concerns the excuse is always, "I don't know today is my first day" or "I'm only agency." The food that is provided to the residents is very poor. It's always some kind of mush that has been left out for several hours and by the time it's served it is cold.

This facility is very dirty. When you get in, all i smell was bad odor (urine) even in the dining room, sticky floor, residents rooms is very dirty with stuff all over. The DON singled me out going after me (Because I’m agency and I get paid) coz of charting there little iPad wasn’t working, the sad thing is that she never asked her in house staff about it. Agency Staff think twice before going to Advena of BonnerSprings!

I was extremely happy to see that my aunt had made so many improvements from her last resident place. She was happy she seemed much healthier and more alert and she wasn’t complaining about wanting to get out of there which had been a common thing before. I wish everyone in her circumstance could have the same experience.

The staff members are friendly and attentive to my loved ones needs. Make sure your loved one’s name is on inside of their clothes by permanent means and make frequent visits if possible.

Advena Living of Bonner Springs, where unprofessional, Nurses wasn't skilled with assisting patients, No daily activities or activities logs, Food was cold daily, had to call and visit for mom to received a hot meal. NO phones in rooms at all/ patients were sharing a room. Ask for a private room for my mother. Advena doesn't provide a private room. My mother will be moved ASAP. (IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS REMOVE THEM FAST). my RATING for them (0 STARS).
