Loved this bookstore Have been going to deep creek for years and finally got around to checking it out. Their selection was great Loved how they had notes on books that were up and coming authors, top books on goodreads, etc. Will definitely be a must stop when we make trips to deep creek in the future

My husband and I love going to this bookstore. The books are smartly displayed, and the ceiling view from the top of the antiques mezzanine is quite beautiful also. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any bookmarks, but maybe we overlooked them. Will definitely go back.

Fantastic little book store with incredibly helpful staff and reasonable prices. The selection was varied enough to appeal to all the readers in my family. One of the highlights of our trip to Deep Creek.

Was in town on vacation. They had signs all over outside saying “come in we’re open!” As soon as we walk in they told us they would have to ask us to leave in 20 minutes because they were waiting on a bus of kids. Why were you advertising that you were open then? Shame because it looked like a really nice store.

There is no need to repeat all the wonderful things that have been said about this bookstore. It’s all true! We visited on a rainy day last week, and really enjoyed our time there. One of the women helped my granddaughter to find a book series that was new to her. It was nice to see that they gave the younger kids, the same attention that they gave to the adults. We will go back anytime we are nearby.

A fantastic small independent bookstore. We come to Deep Creek Lake several times a year and always make time for a stop at the bookstore. The staff knows their inventory well and always has just the right recommendation. During Covid, they are being (appropriately) cautious and politely request masks. A great place, a wonderful selection of adult and children’s book (lots of high quality toys for kids also), and sincerely nice people on staff. It doesn’t get much better.

The options were broad. The lady working there was so kind and understanding. She wasn't overpriced either. She even put personal notes on some books. It was a cute shop. The atmosphere was calming and cozy. I highly recommend. I prefer buying all my books there

Small local shop with a great selection and lovely staff. They have thoughtful recommendations and are happy to order any books you want that they do not have. I visit nearly every time I’m in Oakland and they never disappoint!
