Don't mistake a financial salesperson for a financial advisor. Investment fees here are an astounding 2.5%. The Vanguard VOO etf has a fee of 0.03%. Does Cimarron outperform the index by 83x?

What your 'advisor' won't tell you is how much damage a 2.5% fee will do to your portfolio returns over a long time horizon. Google search for a 'compound interest calculator,' try a compounded 7% for 30 years then 4.5% - that also assumes the market only goes up!

This form of 'wealth management' is old fashioned, expensive and will have real consequences on your ability to retire in the future. If you go in ask about the fees, ask about your other options and have them explain what you're getting for 83x the expense.
