I was so incredibly impressed by the children’s section at this library. It is the type of place I could bring my kids and let them be entertained and busy for more than an hour, while I sit and read. There was a scavenger hunt for my daughter, a bunch of trucks for my son, and lots of hands-on structures for them to climb on and play in. It felt like a museum and a library rolled into one.
The children’s librarians were so friendly and helpful as well. Such a pleasant experience, we live about 30 minutes away but will definitely be back to visit.

Good children’s programming and my toddler loves the display on loan from the children’s museum. The downside is the library doesn’t require that sick kids and caregivers stay home. We’ve had to stop going to activities and attempt to go when it’s not busy as we get sick otherwise due to all the inconsiderate people coming with sick kids.

As far as the library services and staff, it’s all good. However, every time I walk in I’m reminded how the renovation that was completed 5 years ago destroyed the charm and character this great library once had. Whoever was responsible for the new design should be arrested.

The new EC Scranton memorial library Is completed and currently open for a curbside pick up The parking in the back is greatly expanded and easily accessible. There are numerous tables in benches in the Courtyard, some with Built-in chess/checker tables. The exterior both the building and landscaping a spectacular. It's been a long wait but seems to be worth our patients

I really enjoyed how updated this library is as well as what it had to offer. I’d even recommend it to others as well as drive here on the weekends. However, never have I ever been to a library that allows people to gossip on the phone while others around them are reading. The lady at the information desk seemed as if those who complained were a bother rather than the actual lady talking on the phone. Her response was, ā€œwhen I walked over it didn’t seem that she was talking that loud.ā€ If she wasn’t talking ā€œthat loudā€ then it wouldn’t be a distraction. Also, she should not be having a phone conversation where others are trying to work and read. This will for sure deter me from going back and recommending it to others. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my visit.

Very nice library and resources. I was in town on vacation and needed a quiet space to attend a zoom meeting that came up. Reserving a study room was easy to do online and the librarians were very helpful and friendly.

Excellent library. They have a great selection of books, dvds, etc. There’s a good amount of seating & work areas. They regularly offer good programs and have great guest speakers who present on a wide variety of topics. They’re also in a good location so it’s to get to and there’s plenty of parking.

A beautiful space after the remodel with a wide selection, friendly staff, and useful online tools including digital versions of many books.

They've also added many items for borrowing, including bicycles, telescope, board games, GoPro, etc.
