I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Natalie for decades. And I have never known anyone who asks such insightful questions or listen so intently to the answers. She is intensely present and cares deeply about understanding the person she is talking to— not just what they are saying but who they are.

I’ve recently gone through a career change. Early in the transition, I would have casual conversations with Natalie about it, and I would come away feeling like I had just spent time with a coach or counselor. I had new questions that I realized I needed to ask myself or new insights about my circumstances. Without realizing it, I was receiving many of the benefits England Editorials offers its clients.

Natalie could channel her skill set to serve anyone. But she has a true passion for understanding the stories of learners and their families who don’t fit neatly into the current academic environment. I have seen her light up talking about the connections she makes with students she tutors. She always focuses on understanding their struggle rather than hitting academic targets (though that happens, too). She is equally committed to amplifying learners’ individual experiences and empowering learners who learn differently to communicate from a place of strength.

I worked with Natalie as my supervisor for a summer when I was an intern on my college's marketing & communications team. Working with Natalie has been one of the most growing experiences of my life. She taught me how to dig deeper into the stories I was writing and find the heart of each article.

This internship was probably one of my favorites as I felt like it was truly how an internship is meant to be — a position in which I was encouraged to grow and be invested in as a young professional rather than a position that just gets the work done that nobody else wants to do (an approach to internships I often see in the journalism industry, unfortunately). I believe your supervisor can make or break an internship experience, and thankfully, Natalie was fantastic at providing a great learning experience for me as a growing journalist and writer. I felt very comfortable coming to her with any questions, yet she also gave me the space to practice my critical thinking skills and come to conclusions on my own. She really helped set me up for success in my early days of reporting and interning.

Natalie was someone who didn't always give me the "right" answer immediately; even better — she helped me reason through the situation and come to a conclusion through my own processing. Nonetheless, I was never thrown into a work project or circumstance without any guidance nor was I dragged by the hand with each step. She gave me what I needed to accomplish the assignment yet left the door open for empowering and supportive feedback that helped me become more confident in my workflow and abilities.

I would recommend anyone to work with Natalie if you have the privilege or opportunity. You won't regret it!

I had the privilege of working as a brand and audio storytelling intern for Natalie while I was in college. Together, we produced a podcast about how students are navigating a unique chapter in their lives. Natalie is always a pleasure to work with. I had the opportunity to work with Natalie in a higher education setting; and her passion for both education and the students she works with is so evident in everything she does. She can break down the most complex topics and make them understandable for any audience. Nothing Natalie does is cookie-cutter - she works to make her interactions with everyone unique to that person and always puts the people she is working with at ease.

One of Natalie's exceptional traits is helping people discover the strengths and the powers they have within themselves. I often asked Natalie for assistance in helping college students determine their own personal stories and personal brand stories. She always asks the right questions and allows those she is working with to truly open up. This is also made possible by her empathy and ability to see viewpoints other than her own. She has a genuine desire to know what matters to others and what makes them tick. One of the coolest things I've witnessed is to see 18-22 year olds blossom in the confidence they have in themselves because of their time with Natalie. She helped them realize the magic they had within themselves. I saw that be a life-changing experience for several students.

Natalie takes a real interest in everyone with whom she interacts whether they are co-workers, friends, clients or constituents. She genuinely has a passion for helping others realize their dreams. I highly recommend working with Natalie in any capacity. She truly cares and will make a difference in any way she can.

Natalie was such a joy to work with. She was very patient with me, understood my thought process and worked to simply improve my message. She was always available to answer any of my questions that I had and provide detailed answers to help me move along in my process. One thing that stood out to me was the fact that even after we were done working with each other she still checked in on not only my business endeavors but also me as a person.
