YOU’RE FIRED - AGAIN.

I chose to work with Mr. Gagnon at First Financial Planners, primarily because of his title as fiduciary. My understanding was that as a fiduciary he needed to do what was in my best interest versus his own. Unfortunately, in my nine years of experience with him, I have realized that that was and is not the case. In those nine years, he grew my financial assets by one percent. Yes you read that right 1%. And he’s happy with that. He also put me in some very unnecessary and very expensive annuity/life insurance products, telling me they were the best things to meet my needs. When in reality, the high commissions they paid were the best thing for him. He has literally made more money off of the fees from the products that he put me in then I have made on my money in the last 9 yrs. That to me is the total opposite of fiduciary. When you’re a new client, he is very attentive. When you become a current client he’s so busy getting new clients, to collect more fees, that he will not have time for you. He is also woefully understaffed as people don’t seem to stay long and has no contingency plan, should God forbid something happen to him, there would be no one managing your money. When you start asking the tough questions, he will ghost you. I know he comes across as confident and caring but don’t be fooled. He has been fired from a large firm for misconduct, and has four - soon to be 5 - complaints against him with the state. Consider yourself warned.
