My last two purchases went fine until they started charging my account for their software program. I’ve left numerous calls and emails prior to the charge and after I caught them the other day. This company never answers the phone and doesn’t respond to your emails. Shady business charges. I’ve reported their charges as fraudulent. It has happened twice now so this is not an accident

Multiple unauthorized charges, non-existent customer service, inaccurate pricing data, and reports that don't come out correctly. The main reason for my 1 star is their customer service in response to my account not being accessible. Then when they tried to restore it I was charged multiple times for the same service. $918,00 for a $54 a month product! I have not received a refund despite being guaranteed I would. They will not answer the phone, their emails, or their chat feature on their website. If you value your time, money, or sanity stay away from this product. They will not resolve any customer complaints no matter how hard you try. Their product is sub par to begin with and I was only using due to its simplicity and the fact I know my local pricing well enough.

If I could give no stars I would. I agree with the other reviewers, the customer service is non-existent. We were sent incorrectly printed books in March of 2021. These books aren't cheap! When I called to point out the error the call was handled well and I was told new books would be shipped in the next two-three weeks. It's now November 2021 and I have made at least 25 calls and sent 5-10 emails with no resolution. I was getting the "books are in the mail" song and dance for a couple of months. Now I get no response to email or phone calls. I just get hung up on. Terrible company!

I have done business with this company for 28 years! The last 3 have been a nightmare at best. Today they charged my credit card for an order I did not place! This is FRAUD and I will contact the local DA Monday. Less than Zero stars

Signed up for HT advantage 6 on 1-10-18. The new version they just launched, but they have no training videos for the new program, it said training videos coming soon on their site, you would think the if a new program would be launched they would have the training videos in order before the launch. The search feature in the program says enter key word(s) but it only works with one word searches, why have an "S" there if it is only one word?. Their customer service is almost non existent. I have emailed questions about the program to multiple ppl and have never got an answer to any of my questions. Once you pay the Money and have it down loaded it seems like you are pretty much on your own to figure it out. The labor rates are preset for different trades and can not be changed. If you add your own pricing for multiple items you have to go into each item and change them manually when the price Changes. This program was a big waste of time and Money.

Id give 0 stars if possible!! Unauthorized charges to my bank account. No response at all after calling, emailing, and trying to chat online with a non existent customer service for over a week, daily. Stay as far from this company as possible.

Wish I read the reviews first - ordered K&B Cost books 2/6, it's now 3/21 and still not arrived. Answered their phone one time with about a dozen calls and was told the books were "on-route' - that was over a week ago.

Their customer service, books, and most importantly their SOFTWARE, leave a great deal to be desired. If, like me, you are a contractor seeking to streamline your estimating process, and therefore realize an overall greater profit, I would ardently advise you to keep looking! Home-tech's products actually slow down the estimating process, and if you do not very closely scrutinize their (your) pricing, you will end up with a great deal of your bids being ridiculously high, while others will be frightfully low. This can all be solved by painstakingly adjusting each and every line item on your HT estimates, or by monumentally doing the same to the ENTIRE inventory of line items in the cost library. I have actually found it easier and much more effective to use the tried and true 2.5x materials cost as a base line, and make any necessary adjustments form that point, than to edit, and re-edit estimates from HT. I have also found that I am selling a great deal more of my estimates since I stopped using HT. For example, how many contractors in rural america do you know that are getting $600-700 a square for a 1 story ranch, 1 layer tear off and re-lay? Or $40+ a square foot for new, basic ceramic tile on backer-board? these are the kinds of prices this company purports to be real-world based pricing. This company needs a serious reality check. Save yourself time, money, frustration, and clients......Try something else, and if find something that actually works like this is advertised to...Let me know.
