Elton and his excellent team guided both of my daughters during their college search and application processes. Most recently, my youngest received essay assistance from Kyra Jee. Kyra did so much more than merely provide edits. She was a cheerleader. She uncovered themes and threads that made my child realize something new about herself, opening the door for deeper self exploration and, ultimately, career goal refinement. Kyra brought out the best version of my daughter's writing and helped her grow in confidence and hope during a daunting time. Kyra was kind, compassionate, encouraging, empathetic, and responsive. She helped with both UC applications as well as private school applications, which require very different approaches. Kyra is an outstanding editor and writing coach. Both of my daughters were accepted into several excellent colleges and attended their top choices -- UCSD and UCSB. The consultants are familiar with international timezones, easy to make appointments online, and communicated effectively with my daughter on a weekly basis. My daughter appreciated the mentor providing realistic expectations to navigate every step. She found the essay bootcamp and other hands-on exercises very helpful. It meant a lot to her that her mentor made an effort to understand her as a person, which is what every teen needs! By the fall of senior year, my daughter was ready to apply for Early Actions and she felt good that she had done all the necessary tasks. She received the acceptance letters from all the schools before Christmas, so we could enjoy the new year's with peace.

Having an encouraging AND professional mentor allowed me as a parent to become a cheerleader for my child instead of a nagging manager. This was crucial in nurturing a healthy and loving parent-child relationship during the junior and senior years of high school. This is something money can't buy us. I genuinely don’t think I could’ve had such a great experience with college apps without my counselor. While all my friends were stressing out about their essays and what to put into their applications, I was coasting through the process. Having clear cut directions and someone to guide me through all the different aspects of applying truly made my application journey an enjoyable and manageable one, providing everything from feedback on essays to drafting descriptions for activities.
