Honestly, the worst experience I have ever had. I am still currently in the program and I would not recommend this program to anyone. It is hell, they don’t care for you to become certified, they only care about your money. The canvas modules are a waste, no informational content. The instructors in the modules are so strict. I got ahead to try to complete, my instructor gave me a 0 on each important assignment because I did not wait for her feedback. In all reality, I just want to teach. I just want to be a teacher, I have passed my content exam and I have being teaching for two years. The program does not care. These programs are money hungry. Especially iteach. As if we are not full time working and worrying about other aspects of life. They have no consideration. They take forever to respond and grade. If I was not $1500 in I would definitely switch to another alternative program. Stay away, seriously the worst experience ever. Listen to all the other reviews. If I could give this program 0 stars. That’s what it is worth. I am very dissatisfied, disappointed, and angry. Take this review into consideration when deciding which program you want to choose. I’ve heard way better things about other programs. Take your money elsewhere.

Would not recommend iteach to anyone. They care about your money, that is all. I spoke to Dianne Huber (I think she is the founder?) and she was demeaning and rude. She was not helpful, her main concern was letting me know how much money I owe them for needing to switch programs (it cost me $1400 for nothing). I switched programs because they denied me a second chance at the content exam, although nowhere on their website specified the rules on content exams if you do not pass the first time. They have updated since, probably because they realized they did not have their information updated with their policies, along with TEA policies.
I have since enrolled and started completely over with my certification with Texas Teachers, so far their content and courses are much better organized and informative. Overall Texas Teachers is just a much better program.
My iteach experience was a waste of time and a couple thousand dollars. They don't care about new teachers, although it is widely known that there is a teacher shortage. Again, they want your money, they do not care about you or your teaching career.

Iteach is a scam, be warned that if you do not pass on the first attempt they will not let you retake it until you pursue a certification in another grade level meaning that if your job requires you to have that cert by the end of the year you will lose it. I hope you have a district that will help you navigate this companies blatant failure of your education. 240 tutoring not only has better educational supplies for you but they will also allow you to have additional attempts. Iteach does not let you retake because they get questioned by TEA for failing you. I can't recommend avoiding this company anymore. I hope this review is helpful and that you don't take Iteach. Also - if you were to! know that they will not let you out of your contract without paying in full which is CRAZY money! They promote they are affordable, but then make you pay out the ass once you’re in. Then the study guide they give you, you have to pay for separate and go through whole other program and hope that place emails you back to get started! So I had to pay for 240 out of pocket because they use passage preparation and it’s awful and I used it for every subject failed! And the ones I passed was after using 240. PLUS Iteach never replies to emails either! If I could give 0 stars I would

I initially chose this program because I was told it was quick to complete and it came with 240 Tutoring. You should check their raiting/reviews on Better Business Bureau. I didn't and I wish I had!

First off, there's nothing "quick" about this program. It is loaded with redundant busy work that is complete overkill of content. Especially starting with course 5400, you will be writing lots, and lots, and lots of long papers for professors who seem to get their ego stroked by creating complex rubrics, loaded with vague requirements and an onslought of irrelevant "must haves." Your typical ivory tower shenanigans.

The worst part in my experience was all the unnecessary obstacles they embedded throughout the whole program. In my opinion, this really isn't a program for the working individual or individuals with families and busy lives. If you complete all the work in one course, you can't start working on the next course until the professor grades all of the work you did in the previous course (be prepared to wait up to a week for one assignment to be graded.) If you fail an assignment and have to resubmit it, you will have to wait another 24-48 hours to resubmit. Once you finish a course, you have to wait until the next day to start the next one. You're also not allowed to take all of your exams to get them done and out of the way. You have to do x, y and z before they will let you take your content. Then you have to do x, y, and z before you can take your STR. And more x, y, and z before you can take your PPR. When you first sign up for the program, they act like you just have to complete x amount of courses. Well, that's a lie because they add in lots of extras along the way....like 2 STR prep courses and a PPR prep course....don't forget about the 2 reflections they throw in there also. I can understand making people wait and take additional courses for these exams *if they fail the first time* but it was really a giant inconvenience for people who passed their exams on the first try and could have done so earlier.

Something else I'm still trying to figure out: When I signed up with iTeach, I wasn't allowed to get my Statement of Eligibility (aka be hired as a teacher) until I completed so many courses, completed my observation hours and taken/passed my content exam and STR exam. However, now they're letting people get hired with an SOE despite having not completed any of the program requirements yet or exams. That doesn't seem fair to me at all.

When I signed up, the package I paid for came with the 240 Tutoring Program. (This is a program you WILL WANT as it helps tremendously with your exams). However, due to some fallout between iTeach and 240 (shocker) I lost 240 access since they parted ways with iTeach. I paid another $50 to have 240 again.

Lastly, this program is a straight money grab. Even if your intern certificate hasn't expired yet, they will charge you $200, $300, $500 fees to "renew coursework," etc.

The only rave I have is meeting my field supervisor, Dr. Phillips. She was very helpful and understanding. She gave lots of insightful, relevant feedback and was a wonderful encouragement through this process.

I finally have my Standard Certificate now, but getting it through this program seemed like a nightmare in slow motion. I would highly recommend looking into other programs that are more straight-forward, stick to what's important and allow you to plow through your exams regardless of other course requirements.

Program changed tutoring services and format 3 times in the course of my enrollment. A lack of communication ended up costing me an additional $1,200 out of pocket. $300 I am willing to own as a possible communication error. However, I paid the other amount to extend the program due to lack of communication on their part, which they were able to inform me about. And then a scheduling of a practice test required an extension of the program costing an added $500.
With the teaching profession dwindling and a teacher shortage growing, ITeach is more interested in their profit margin then helping people enter the profession.
My observer was the only benefit to this relationship. Great communication and feedback that helped secure my job at current and lessons that will go with me in the years to come.

The worst from the beginning. Listen to all the other 1 star reviews. The program promised to have instructional material for the content exam but didn’t. Said there would be payment options, but there wasn’t. You cannot get anyone on the phone bc it disconnects without voicemail. Now even their attorneys won’t pick up the phone. When I had to resign from my internship, iTeach dropped me from the program despite having another position lined up… Now that I have a second degree and am pursuing teaching with another cert program, the director herself is refusing to release me until I pay all the fees. EXTORTING ME and ruining my career. The program is supposed to send release paperwork to the state, but they are holding me “active” until I pay. Horrible business with an unethical director. Run!!!

I think the people at I teach Texas. I love that. I had a field supervisor that will answer any questions and help me as much as possible. I love that. He will also be there at any time. I still need him. Even though I’ve been two years out of the program, I love that. I’m still able to look back at my things and reach out for help. The program was amazing and helped me to get the information and schooling I needed to become a teacher.

I just finished the program last month with iTeach and was issued my standard teaching license. The program was similar to a mini online college. It's self-paced and the work is not at all difficult, just a lot of busy work. When I signed up for the program the cost was the lowest compared to the other ACP (not sure what the price comparison is now). I really had no overall negative experiences with the program. My questions/emails were answered by the next business day and my field supervisor was great. I passed my content exam and PPR on my first try. I would highly recommend to anyone who's done online classes since the set up is pretty much the same. The only time you actually interact with someone with iTeach is during your field observations.
