Tried to take us to court on the basis of a telephone call to discuss advertising claiming we had made a booking. An absolute scam company, and I would stand up in court and say that knowing I have absolute proof of their underhand methods. If you receive a court summons, don't feel pressured into paying, they are using the fear of court to make you pay. In our case they lodged no papers and did not pay the court fee so the case was thrown out. The courts should charge this firm for wasted court time when they have so much more important work to get on with.

It was great to have the opportunity to be featured in Your Devon and Cornwall Magazine. It was fantastic to be featured amongst other wedding businesses. The magazine really supports local suppliers and is a great platform for small businesses as well as larger well-established businesses.

I was taken to Small Claims Court by KD events, I turned up to the county court and the case was struck out meaning I did not have to pay the invoice. I am still receiving reminders for payment. From looking below, it seems others have had similar experiences. Here is my story: I received an invoice after a phone call with Penny from Your Yorkshire Weddings in March 2022. The call discussed the potential advertising options within the E-magazine. The invoice I received was unexpected as I had made no booking, it was also very high and there was no agreement, no email, no contract in place to confirm the booking. Having read the invoice, and discovering these terrible reviews, I contacted penny to explain this service was not of interest and I wanted nothing to do with it. To my shock, she insisted the original telephone conversation we had should be regarded as a booking and sent me the voice recording of the call, a recording I did not consent to. To be clear, no service had been delivered, no booking had been made, there was not a single piece of communication written or verbal that could amount to a contract or booking. Since March 2022, I have received regular emails requesting I pay the invoice (I still do) and have now been taken me to court. They did not show up. Their case was so inadequate that it was not even put against me, it was struck out. To summarise, you won't be shocked to hear I have nothing but disappointment with my experience of KD events but I am delighted for this matter to have been processed by the court and the case to be struck out. If you have had a similar experience and would like to get in touch then feel free to do so. I have spoken to many other reviewers who have had similar experiences and would like to say a big thank you to those comments sharing phrases like 'scam' and to those of you who took the time to speak to me in the run up the court case, it was much appreciated.

All of my experiences of working with the team at KD have been superb. They genuinely care about their couples in terms of how much they help them via their content and advice in magazines and wedding fairs. As a celebrant and wedding pro I've found them to be highly professional, supportive and proactive in their working relationship with me. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Tony at Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding is a pleasure to deal with. I've been working with magazine for several years now and have had various advertising packages and listings. While my dream would be to see it back in print I appreciate times have changed and there is a strong readership online now. I've also worked with Claire on real wedding features and have had several published including my images making the front page which is a huge boost for a little business like myself. What a fabulous article we got this month in An Essex Wedding magazine, it was a lovely photoshoot at the gorgeous Down Hall Hotel..... all suppliers complemented each other completely!
