A solid little shop. The book selection was surprisingly diverse! I glanced at the records and saw a great selection there too but I was interested in the books so I spent my time browsing the shelves. There are tons of sections that are well-labeled and easy to browse. I loved their local interest sections that included books about the Lake Tahoe area, as well as other California/Nevada points of interest like Death Valley, Joshua Tree, and Yosemite. The gentleman working the counter was friendly and efficient. When I'm in Tahoe again, I'll be stopping by!

Love this eclectic store. You just don’t come across these charming places anymore. Got some great classic books for my toddler. Such a hidden gem. Will definitely make sure I stop in every time I’m in town

This is my second time in this store. The selection is large and diverse. The owner has a fare amount of record's I have never seen. I like that they are original not reprints. It makes finding a classic sweater, but you have to know what you are looking for.

I took a vacation up to South Lake Tahoe and forgot to bring my Kindle.
Having nothing to read, and it being a Sunday, the only bookstore I could find that was open was Keynote. It's clearly seen better days but the proprietor was pleasant and helpful.
While the book selection was fairly small I did find some good reads. I went in looking for one and left with four.
I'll visit the next time I'm here, whether I forget my Kindle or not. (Maybe I'll forget it on purpose.)

Owner is a very nice guy. Good selection of old records. Don't go in expecting anything new (80s and earlier). I think when he re-stocks, he just brings in another stack from home. However it's fun to browse and dig.

Make Tahoe Records has a pop-up in here occasionally which is worth a look. A small collection of new records!

I LOVE this bookstore. I'm here visiting my parents and they said there wasn't a single bookstore in town. Imagine how happy I was when I found this one! The books are a touch higher than if you bought them online, but it's worth it to not have to pay shipping or wait for them to be delivered. Some books are in fantastic condition and others are definitely used. But if you're willing to spend some time looking around, I guarantee you'll find something awesome. The first time I went there I left with EIGHT books for $40. Absolutely awesome deal.
