I came across Kristen Hamilton name back in 2023, while doing research for my memoir. Her article about memoir writing got my attention (Kristen definitely can write 🙂 ). Then one thing lead to another—website review, testimonials and Kristen’s other blogs reading—and by the time I knew it, I had my first call with Kristen to discuss possible work together.
I liked her from the start. I liked that she took time to meet with me on the video call. For me, there is nothing like “face to face conversation”. Well, in this case, zoom was enough.
Since English is my second language I decided to use Kristen’s manuscript critique service. It was great choice. The report she provided was honest, long and with many suggestions how to improve the manuscript. After I read it, I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me. Kristen was right there next to me giving me advices, answering questions, and being very patient with me.
Fast forward year and a half later—during which I rewrote the manuscript and Kristen did the line and copy editing—the manuscript is ready and I am working on preparing the book to be published in Spring 2025.
Besides the remarkable writing skills, Kristen is easy to work with, and a great communicator. What I value the most though, is her honesty. Yes, it might hurt sometimes, but how else can one grow without receiving the honest feedback.
