I loved this 2022 version of Lonely Planet Travel Guide and I just read through the part of Ho Chi Minh City which I have planned to go for in 2025 or 2026. The book is well-written with a well-planned mind map drawing the reader's attention to specific details about the different parts of Vietnam that they would love to explore.

The best thing about this latest version travel guide is that it segregates the different parts of Vietnam based on geographical landscapes such as the Mekong Delta, North Vietnam, and Central Highlands. With color-labeling to differentiate the different areas of Vietnam, I was able to read through some interesting information about this beautiful country despite my intentions of focusing on Ho Chi Minh City.

They start with a trip builder which gives the reader a summary of what to expect if they visit the specific region. With clear pointers on the map, readers can zoom in to focus on which specific page to look for if they are interested in discovering that particular place. Even if you're not travelling to this country or simply reading it for pleasure, this travel guide inspires one to try out their activities, local surprises and to prepare with basic necessities all in one book. Well done!
