I had an extremely disappointing experience with Mermaid Publishers. From the start, they lured me in with low initial costs, only to pile on additional fees later. What was promised as a comprehensive service package turned out to be a series of empty promises and undelivered work.

Here’s what I encountered:

Undelivered Services: I paid for several services, including podcast production, audiobook translation, and article writing and marketing. None of these were completed to the agreed standard, and some were never delivered at all.

False Promises: They made several misleading claims, including a partnership with a major platform that I later discovered does not exist. This was a clear case of misrepresentation.

Incompetent Staff: The writers and team assigned to my project were unqualified and inexperienced. The quality of their work was subpar, and it was evident they lacked the expertise needed for professional publishing and marketing.

Deceptive Pricing: The company uses low upfront costs to attract clients, only to add hidden fees later. This bait-and-switch tactic is unethical and exploitative.

Mermaid Publishers is a fraudulent and unprofessional company that preys on unsuspecting authors. Their lack of integrity, incompetence, and deceptive practices have caused me significant stress and financial loss.

I strongly advise anyone considering working with Mermaid Publishers to steer clear. There are far more reputable and trustworthy companies out there. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.

SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT. After beginning the publishing process with them I needed to pull back and not publish my book. But they would not refund my 1k. They have made excuses and refused to help me. Not a professional company at all. Very scammy. Claims they are Amazon Book Publishers to use the Amazon name but in reality they are Mermaid Publishers. Writing a book is hard enough: this company makes it harder. Do not use this company if you want professional services handled as promised.

I hesitated reading some negative commenta. But I really apprrciated and still admire a good friend, Ashley Clement, thst helped me with the editing of my book " Intriges... de hel!" Written in Dutch. He understood from the beginning how difficult it was for me telling my personal story. I found in Ashley a great friend with wonderful feelings. Thankbyou so much Ashley. For me it has 5 stars.

Mermaid Publisher made my entire publishing experience effortless. They were always on time and provided excellent guidance throughout. Their team was super helpful and responsive. I highly recommend their services!

Before getting into publishing my book, I was overwhelmed with companies popping up in my FB feed and Mermaid Publishing caught my eye. I reached out to find out more and was set up with a phone call to discuss my work. I told them I have not written the book yet, but they said that’s fine and I should still sign a contract with them to secure an awesome deal. I felt pressured and signed it. Months and months went by and they kept pressuring me to write the book. One rep even told me my book will be a masterpiece . I found this quite odd and I felt irritated by the pressure to write it. I reached out saying I no longer wanted to publish using Mermaid Publishing and they have refused to give me a refund, even though they have not had to do anything for my book. Obviously, I signed a contract and that’s my own fault, so yes they can keep my money, but since they haven’t had to do anything for my book at all one would think they would return it. To me, they seem sketchy and I would stay away.
