Monarch Books is a gem in this community! I’m an educator, and the books that the owner curates are thoughtful, representative, and diverse. I love the space, and how it is laid out. The children’s section is my favorite children’s section of any other book store in the county.

I DREAMED of having a bookstore in the historical Village since I was a kid. And I couldn't be happier with the results. Lovely staff, bright and open spaces, adorable children's section. The selections are tailored, and I love that any customer can write a review to be displayed! They are quick with responding to my special order requests.

Absolutely fantastic bookstore! The staff here are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to help find the prefect read. The selection is impressive and the store makes it easier to discover something new. It's a nice book store in it's own way and the prices were good but personally I prefer used book stores where the shelves are cramed full of fantastic new finds that you can get lost in and where the owner doesn't care how fancy or staged their store looks.

I'm so happy this place is here. I'm happy to say I haven't gone to the chain bookstore in the city since Monarch Books opened! I love being able to check their website beforehand to see what they might have and I appreciate that you can order books if they don't have them - I used this service and it was very fast. The staff is always very friendly as well. I just wish I was able to come in more often!
