It's been a couple months since we've started our sessions together but I am still in complete awe of how attentive Geri is to what I've shared in previous sessions, and how she makes valuable reference to them in the current session. I met Geri through counselling platform and I cannot thank the Universe enough for having her as my counsellor and my therapist. First of all, she has all the qualities you would want in a counsellor. She listens, hears, she is compassionate and she is able to connect with you on a personal level. She is able to dissect each and every word you say and she made me understand "how powerful words are, words which we use for ourselves and others." She will provide you with powerful tools to change your thinking patterns and your life. Her compassion and her willingness to help people shines through her conversations. I felt so understood, supported, loved and I don't know how would I have navigated the difficult phases of my life without her advice and support. When I first started therapy, I was very hesitant about opening up to someone about things that I never talked to anyone about. I use to bottle things up while not utilizing the support system I didn’t realize I had. Geri helped me realize so much about myself that I refused to acknowledge. Without her I would not be able to handle situations as well as I do now. I also have a better understanding on how to deal with things that are both in and out of my control. I can’t thank Geri enough. She was great!

Unprofessional. Geri blindsided me and terminated me through email two weeks after our not having sessions. No follow up session to discuss treatment or progress or other options, no email reaching out to me to discuss my thoughts or my concerns, nothing. During Our previous session, she communicated to me that she wanted to speak with my doctor directly to “ensure she has the full picture of my history and to make sure that she was giving me the best care as a therapist”. She had me go through a long, drawn out ROI process of signing over my rights in order for her to be able to talk to my doctor about my progress, and lo and behold she never reached out to my doctor at all. Geri also is not self aware or even empathetic when it comes to watching her facial expressions or body language during therapy. Geri would also dismiss me abruptly and say “well I have to go, I have another client” in the middle of me being emotional and asking for help… apart from all of this, how she went about the termination process was unprofessional, and I felt abandoned . This was probably one of the most traumatic and unprofessional experiences I’ve had in therapy and she should not be able to practice or call herself a “therapist.” It wouldn’t surprise me if she did this to others as well.
Geri— Having an LPC license, a website displaying your “skills”, and a fancy LLC company doesn’t make you qualified to be a therapist. It takes empathy and a certain level of professionalism, respect, patience, and care for the clients/people you take an oath to help. I’ll also be filing an official compliant. People who seek therapy don’t deserve this type of treatment. Do better.
Also interesting how all 10 of these “5 star” reviews are all back to back within just a month time frame ... sketchy.

I made my first appointment with Geri while unknowingly getting ready to experience one of the hardest times in my life. That was over a year ago, and I am in a completely different and amazing place in my life. I could not have done it without her. I could sit here and write reason after reason on why Geri deserves more than a 5 star review on Google.

At the end of the day, all I can do is ask that you trust a random guy on the internet and book an appointment with her. You won't regret it.
