Originally, I had left a five-star review, but I've had to go back and drop the score. My own personal experience with Parker Publishers started well, but it has quickly spiraled. I want to be fair to them, but I want to also be transparent. I've felt that the additional costs have been significant, dwarfing my initial payment, that I thought would cover the majority of my expenses. Second, my release date was a big deal to me. This was my first book. I had many family and friends supporting me. They waited with anticipation to purchase my book, and the release date came and went, but my book was not released. After wondering what was going on and feeling embarrassed that people who wanted to purchase my book couldn't, I reached out to find out what was happening. The team handling my book delayed my release without my knowledge.
I've been very discouraged by the process so far. I would encourage first time authors to be sure that you get transparency on pricing, printing costs, marketing, etc. Ask up front for detailed price guides! I failed to do this, and now I'm wishing I'd went with another publisher.

An amazing team and very much passionate about helping the author. Parker Publisher team keeps a line of communication along with support. Betsy, Bryan and Tyler just to name a few. Great staff; taking out the time to meet every need and the transparency of the staff has been phenomenal. They’re not just putting out your book, but allowing the author to truly consider the reader. Highly recommended.

In my book, 'Dangerous Enclosures' I often refer to 'Fate', how it somehow stepped in to give me safer options, another chance. The same miraculously is true about Parker Publishers. How did I find them? How did they find me? I was offered suggested publishers by friends, but it seems Parker Publishers found me! From my earliest contact with Betsy (my book manager), I found a friend. A true novice, I had no idea of what publishing entailed. Betsy, took time to explain in detail my options, drawing for me verbally and in writing what I could expect by using Parker Publishers. Being cautious, I ventured in, waiting for a catch but I'm happy to say there was 'Not Catch'! These past months, Betsy has entertained my thoughts, many changes on my part, always with these words: "No rush, take your time" which was quite comforting. In publishing, one ventures into a new world with unpublished book in hand. Betsy, whom I've never met led me through so many processes. I want to be especially mindful of my editor, Hazel! I once told Betsy that Hazel must be throwing darts at me from my frequent changes! Betsy assured me that was not the case. These two will be eternally etched in my exciting memories of getting 'Dangerous Enclosures" published.
So excited to see the website Parker Publishers created for my book! Unbelievable! Must be the best of any book yet (in my opinion). Can't wait to see how my book is hopefully accepted by the public

Despite some unfavorable reviews that I read online; Parker has proven to be an outstanding company.

Small issues that I addressed with my project manager (BETSY) were acknowledged and attended to immediately.

Betsy has proven to be extremely available and capable of explaining the many uncertainties I delt with as a new author.
Having managed many teams in my career, I'm totally impressed with Betsy's ability as a team leader!

I highly recommend this company to new aspiring writers!

Exceptional!
Sarah Edwards has been fantastic. Her whole attitude has been incredible, and her manner and knowledge has been faultless; I hope this continues. Daniel Draper too has been excellent, helping where he probably didn't need to. Great service from these guys and I look forward to an amazing journey and continued growing relationship. Not sure where I will end up, but with Parkers help; it can only get better..( or heres hoping). Cheers Sarah and the team 😉

I paid Parker Publishers $2000 on November 7, 2023 for a copyright legal doc, eight months past I don't get even one word for it. As a publisher they don't even know what a gutter is. I had to do almost all the work by myself while paying them huge amount of money. Take good care of your money and stay away from this publisher.
