Deceitful practices by the salesmen standing in local stores to get you to buy a subscription. Was told our account wouldn't automatically renew. The paper would stop after the initial sign up period. Was also charged $10 more than what he said. Tried to call several times but their automated line is a bit confusing and I bet they had it designed that way. So the other day a CSR called me and asked if I wanted to extend my subscription and said I had a balance owed. I explained the situation and she said "I'm sorry, that happens all the time. The salesmen are not truthful. I can't help you though. Here is a number to call and just tell them what happened." Called the next morning and the best they could do was to cut my bill in half. Sounds very scripted. They have to hold on to every last dollar. Dying business.

Signed up three weeks ago for Sunday delivery at a Drug Mart location. I have received ONE Wednesday (free) paper - No Sunday delivery yet! Not interested in credits...REFUND and CANCEL only. Delivery is a dead, bygone era and sadly, there are not enough subscribers to bring this concept back from the grave.

I ordered the news papers paid for it and never received the paper called complained was told they would get the paper out to me still never got a paper called to cancel the paper and they acted like they disnt want to refund my money so it's been over 2 weeks and no refund. Dont waste your time or money with this paper. Very disappointed in the plain dealer smh

junk newspaper, don't buy it, they don't go out and really investigate the city, and a few of the writers like to start trouble throughout the city, especially Namyik,the cleveland Press years ago was and always will be in my mind the Best that Cleveland had to offer!
don't buy the paer unless you are painting or need birdcage material.
