actually open to the public. didn’t shoo me away as other Chinatown temples often do.

It’s a tiny one-room place to pray. Bhuddist, perhaps of a Vietnamese kind. Not much to look at, but stay long enough and you may be transported by the culture of the people in there. A good change from the busy little shops nearby.

I was walking the outskirts of Oakland's chinatown when I found this little gem.
It's arun down but beautiful Buddhist Temple with a gold interior and walls lined with Buddhas of various sizes shapes and colors.
They were very inviting, spoke to me at length, but my Chinese goes no further than hello, thank you, and ordering food, entonce quién sabe?
