NEW OWNERS & new childcare center to Basehor!! Freshly remodeled. One of the neatest features about this place is their shelter. Completely surrounded and covered with concrete. It even has a storm gate that rolls down to cover the windows in the event there was ever a tornado.

The rooms are large and this place has lots of room for our little ones to run around. They offer newborn care all the way up to school age. Their before and after school room is perfect for the older kids. It gives them a feel of going to a hangout vs a daycare. They have couches, lockers, games plus lots of outside play areas to run around.

They transport our child to and from school in their own vans, so you don’t have to worry about your child riding a bus all over town. This town needed another option like this . Very secure with their key code entry.

The owners put a lot of work into remodeling and giving this old location a new name. You’re always greeted with a smile and our kid never wants to leave because he’s having so much fun. If you’re looking for a new option, definitely give them a shot and help support a new business in our area, helping to ensure a fun and safe place for our children.

I highly recommend Roots and Wings Academy based on our grandson's incredible experience this summer. The staff welcomed him with warmth and enthusiasm every day, making him feel like a cherished little individual. His well-being and happiness were clearly a priority as he left each day with a sense of care and importance.

Ms. Carmen, in particular, excelled at organizing engaging and enjoyable activities that had our grandson eagerly anticipating each new day. Even on rainy days, the teachers went above and beyond to find creative indoor activities to keep the children engaged.

Our overall experience with Roots and Wings Academy has been outstanding, and we are grateful for the nurturing and stimulating environment they provided for our grandson. It's a place where children truly thrive.

We have struggled with finding reliable and trusting childcare for our kiddos. The owner is absolutely amazing, kind and my kids within the first week loved her.. in fact I caught one of them laughing with her when I picked them up. Our last center was a nightmare and the owner has reassured me numerous times and has made the transition easy. It is really nice to see the owner herself building relationships with the children in her care as well as the teachers going above and beyond. I have been very happy with our overall experience!

I could go into a full essay on how much we love and appreciate Roots & Wings. To keep it short, Ms. Carmen is more than awesome. She runs her facility efficiently and with the upmost care. All the teachers are amazing and kind. If the kids need corrected they do it in a gentle way and the kids listen! We recommend Roots & Wings to all friends and family that need this type of care.

One of the hardest parts of being a parent is finding a daycare you can trust. I know when I drop my son off every morning, he is in safe hands with people who truly care for him. He runs to the teachers every morning for hugs and snuggles. When I pick him up everyday, he is happy. Not only am I happy about the care he has been given, but he has learned and grown a lot during his time here.

My daughter has been going here for almost 4 years now. She is high needs with low vision and type 1 diabetes. The way the teachers and director has jumped in and have been on top of her every need is truly extraordinary. I am so grateful to have such a hands on, caring team for my baby girl. They have been willing to go out of their way - from asking if they need to pick up specific snacks, taking her blood sugar and even insulin injections if needed.
