This story it's about all the self-publishers and so called movie interest people who wanted to make a movie of my life from the first book now on Amazon, these people come out of the woodwork I've had about 60 different businesses contact me through email or phone call, oh Ritchie we really like your book, and we'd like to promote it I've had at least five emails of so-called industries out of California wanting to make a movie of this book but you see there's always a catch, you always have to pay money, and this is what I hate about self-publishers the most not only do they suck you in, saying they're going to publish your book get you a nice cover, but in the conversation they talk about how they want to promote your book? But they don't tell you in order to promote your book you have to pay even more money if you're interested in writing a book pay attention to what I'm saying! I've been involved with publishers since 2019! Only one of them published the book but then I never heard from them again! No royalty fee update, nothing! If I had a decent publisher I could write these stories about these so-called self-publishers! They want to hook you in once your book is published then they say we want to take it to this fair this seminar, but we need money from you in order to do this! From one publisher I heard the book was in about 30,000 different outlets? If that was true then why haven't I received one royalty check from any of those 30,000 different outlets? That's a bunch of misleading hogwash! I have never received a royalty check from any of the publishers except one who refused to listen to me when I said do not publish the book yet it's full of mistakes and errors these need to be corrected before you send it out! I contacted them by phone and email do not send this mistake book out there! They didn't listen and published it anyway and put it on Amazon at that time! I was furious! That means that people that bought this book at that time must have thought the author was an absolute idiot because none of the mistakes were corrected or edited! And to add insult to injury they sent me a royalty check for 10 books that were sold! If I would have cashed that check I would have been saying yes it's okay that you did that behind my back! But I never did cash that royalty check and I've still got it today! The current publisher who has been untrustworthy ever since a guy named Jay quit just a couple of days ago who was my agent at the time, he kept telling me they wanted to hook me up with traditional publishers who pay really good money for authors with good material! Since January 2024 I have heard from people all over America and including Canada how they want to promote this book! But they need money in order to do that! This is part of the hook to get your book published and then make you pay more money on top of it just to get your book promoted? That's wrong on so many levels! I have decided I am not going to stay with the current publisher and continue paying monthly to them for what? I've been a part of Pakistan in Philippines for years and that money I was paying over to the publisher I will use it towards the two countries! I was hoping by now to be with a traditional publisher and represent them as an author all over the world! But currently I don't see that happening! It takes more than words to promote a book, it takes action! I feel like I'm a free agent waiting to be signed by a team! With a traditional publisher they pay really good money per book and I could have really used it To affect Pakistan an Philippines! They pay really good money for authors they would appreciate! And now because of this latest fiasco I'm probably not even on the literary radar anymore! But I know I'm on God's radar! And he appreciates me taking care of Pakistan and Philippines almost 6 years ago monthly! I will never ever regret that decision! I am done with self-publishers for good! If I could write this story with a publisher I would do it in a heartbeat and warn others be careful with self-publishers! Their intentions
