Classic kind of library building, very 70s I would guess. Love it. Nice local branch, just very old. I guess 70s bc El Dorado county is a place in California that has hated the government since about that time. Looking on the website, it does not look like they have had new buildings at any branch in a long while. But that has preserved a certain kind of architecture that nobody loves anymore, and I am here for it.

Quiet, great location, and good size. Our favorite library. We love the children’s area, the first 5 program and the ages and stages kits, the themed bag of books and activities for our little one (ask at front desk), and story time. So far other libraries cannot compare to this one.

They have a dedicated interactive play/read area for kids. Nice place to stop, should you have some spare time to kill away from the lake.

Visiting from SF, Ca while my son went snowboarding. I was welcomed by a kind & helpful front desk lady. She helped me with books & even brought me another book of interest. Amazing lady. She said she's got a 5yrs old son. Precious. I miss that stage. I'll come back again. Thank you for the experience

This library was wonderful as we were out of town travelers looking for some books for our baby for the week. They had plenty of toys and a special infant area!! We even lucked out and on the day we were there they had a service dog for the kids to read with.

Such a great local resource, especially for parents of little ones. As a first time parent they offer many groups and activities for infants up to toddler age.

We absolutely love the library here in South Lake Tahoe there's always multiple events that they hold for the kids is far as story time to outside Adventures just pretty much have to check the schedule but all around a very great Library very good for the community especially the kids.
