We had been using the same financial advisors for several years and decided that we weren't totally satisfied with the service we were receiving. We first came to know Jorden and Strategic Wealth Design at a financial planning seminar he was conducting at Denver University.
We were very impressed as he presented a comprehensive look at retirement portfolio planning in an easy to understand, interactive and personal way. The volume of information presented by Jordan over a two-night seminar was so valuable.

My wife and I were invited to a Wine and Wisdom presentation given by Jordan Schwartz. We were a bit skeptical as we had previously had an unpleasant experience with another firm that also claimed to be Fiduciaries. We were pleasantly surprised with Jordan's presentation, it was informative and not a high pressure sales pitch so we decided to give Strategic Wealth Designers a try. We have since attended a few other presentations and they are always educational, interactive and not boring. I believe SWD has our best interests in mind and are not just trying to sell us a product. My husband and I signed up for their Retirement Planning University. During the two day, 2-2 1/2 hour zoom classes they gave us some solid information covering investing, estate planning, taxes, SS, Medicare and retirement incoming planning. We felt like we got our $39 worth and for that they earned the two stars. But it all went downhill during the “strategic planning session” which was sold as an included one hour financial analysis of our current portfolio. The instructor urged us to ask for a fee analysis, an evaluation of the volatility by assigning a portolio sharpe ratio, a tax analysis and a stress test. Before the scheduled meeting , we were urged: “To be as efficient with your time as possible, please be sure to upload your investment statements and Financial Inventory worksheet prior to your meeting using our secure upload link.” So we spent a good chunk of time fill in, gathering and sending out information. Only to discover once the meeting started that it was a classic bait and switch. It appeared that the advisor hadn’t even looked at our info, spent his time trying to “ stump the chump” and when asked when we would get the promised analysis admitted that none of that would happen until we signed on with their company. Wondering how this business model is working for them? I advise you to take your time and money elsewhere.
