Unfortunately we had to cut our time short with Sylvan learning. We learned that our son's path will require a bit of a different start. The director Dino was more than fair with us. He went over and beyond what he had to do to make things right for my son and our family, not only in bringing a close to the relationship but also through the tutoring process. Ms. Tasha was very diligent in her scheduling and helped us work around our crazy family schedule, and she was an absolute delight. She knows every child, every parent and makes it her job to greet everyone with a smile. Should we find that tutoring is needed in our future we will absolutely return to Sylvan and can only hope that the team we came to enjoy is still there to greet us. If you are weighing options, go with this one.

My Son Caleb N. Started @ the center fall of 2024(math & reading) as an 8th grader , his IREADY was on 5th grade level , he attended two sessions weekly, he's into to sports so grades had to be on point. I was informed by his Reading teacher that his score had to increase in order not to face retention. Right before Christmas break i recieved a call from that same teacher with joy telling me that his score went up 69 points on IReady he is now on 8th grade level!!!! I must admit i was afraid at first was this the best option , ive tried others in the past but i never saw my child so happy and confident about learning until now. I must say this was the Best investment for me. The staff is awesome, the enviroment is very clean and nice! What I liked most, the lessons he studied at Sylvan was ahead of school lessons , Caleb would say mama what we learn today in school im on point we did at the center and/ or if there are complication from school work he would take it to the center for better understanding. People this is well worth it and a load off me🙏🙏🙏💯

My son started at Sylvan over the summer for reading. He was not on the reading level that is typically expected for a child getting ready to enter 1st grade. Fast forward to the second month of his 1st grade school year, and he has an A and B average in Reading and Language Arts respectively! I am so proud of him, and equally as appreciative of Sylvan for all the time and attention they dedicated to my child over the summer. It was well worth the time and money! We will certainly be using them in the future for our tutoring needs.

My senior has been attending for a month, one hour a week and his improvement has been significant. 50’s now 80’s. We are so happy… seeing his confidence and belief in himself is amazing. We couldn’t be happier. The staff is so nice and so helpful. We are so grateful to everyone and look forward to continued success.

My daughter has completed 70/100 hours at the Sylvan Learning Center and she has made a dramatic improvement in her reading. We continue to read at home in the days that she isn’t tutoring and her fluency has really improved and she’s reading with a lot more confidence than before we started her coaching sessions. Very happy so far with the results of her sessions and hoping to continue further with the Sylvan Learning Center as needed. 100% worth the investment.

I just received a copy of our son's descriptive story that he wrote about aliens and spaceships. It's 9 pages and his writing skills have improved so much! Sylvan has also been so great about being accommodating and flexible when we have schedule changes. Highly recommend!

I’m very disappointed in Sylvan. I have used them twice for 2 different children. You would think as much as they charge it would not be any rules if your child misses a day. I paid for 100 hours and my child was going 4 days a week. She had (4) excused absences according to sylvan and those hours are lost, due to apparently you have to make those hours up in the month. When I was communicating with sylvan via text and I told them we could do Friday, I was told it was closed. I then said well just extend her last day, no response came back to me that, that was not a solution. I’m not sure if it’s just us they are doing that too. But you need to be aware you will pay all this money and they will cheat you if you’re not keeping up with it yourself. I work hard for my money as I’m sure you all do, I was going to use them again when school started but now I see it’s not about helping the children. It’s about making a profit and taking from hard working parents as well.

update Thanks to Sylvan she just finished the year with the highest reading average in her class!

My daughter was a full grade level behind in reading causing her to struggle in school. She was overwhelmed and giving up. Sylvan has completely changed that. Her reading is steadily improving and her confidence is at an all time high. I couldn't be more grateful to this amazing team. I know the cost can definitely seem overwhelming but this has already been the best money I've ever spent. I highly recommend Sylvan to anyone.
