The Book Incubator has changed the way I write. I used to feel like I needed to know everything that happened in the book before I started writing, do detailed character and setting sketches, etc., and I hated that part of the process. Being told I can just start writing and see where the story goes has been so freeing.

Highly highly recommend this program to any and all writers! It had everything I was craving in it- and so much more!!! I wanted a community of other writers, motivation to getting words on the page- and tools with how to do so well, but I also received substantial support and editorial services to not only got me through a first draft, but into edits that I feel confident about and querying skills to get me responses for agents and progress in my goals. I felt so buoyed by the numerous resources available throughout the process, the calls I had with the team- real life people who cheered me on and cared about my work- and feel ecstatic that I still have access to the teachings and publishing support having now having nearly completed my year in the program. It was all money well spent; such a fantastic boost for me in my craft, for my goals as a professional writer, and my exposure to the publishing world. I just finished writing my first draft of my first novel inside the Book Incubator. The Book Incubator came into my life at the exact time I needed it. I had been writing for years and was in a place where I knew I needed more professional and craft guidance and a more supportive community. When I made the decision to join, I received all of that in spades. The program from the application on out is so thoughtfully executed and in a way that feels intuitive and keeps the community and the writers at the heart of it. It is malleable enough so people with all different kinds of creative processes can tailor the resources and their experience to what will be most helpful and manageable in their lives while also being structured enough to buttress even the most pantsiest of writers (hello, it's me) to fully follow through and finish a book. I began and finished my first novel in this program and, in the process, became a much more skillful writer. The guidance and encouragement from everyone on The Book Incubator team, all of whom are working professionals in the publishing world, has been invaluable. And I have found endless inspiration from all of the other members working so hard on their stories. Everyone is so wildly brilliant, inquisitive, good-natured, and wonderful. I can't stand the thought of finishing the program because it has been such a gift to be a part of it all.

I don't think I've ever felt so determined about writing a book until I found The Book Incubator. I work full time and so I barely had any time to delve deeply into the lessons but I'm glad to say that ever since I joined the program I'm writing almost every day and keeping to my one draft instead of jumping around with other projects. I am nearing the end of my first draft and for me that is huge!
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet so many insightful writers and mentors. Definitely feel more confident about writing and publishing someday soon!

I never feel like I'm wasting my time with the mentors, editors, and resources in The Book Incubator. ALL of them are insightful and enlightening. I appreciate the notes being uploaded to each lesson because I am too antsy to sit through videos. I love writing alongside published writers, because they give me an example to follow. I love my Accountability Partners because I have fellow writers to encourage me to keep going when I get overwhelmed or discouraged.
