This place I still remember there first location next to the fire station in tulare a lot great Improvement has happened in the years I remember this library from having only 6 to 8 computers to now having over 25 is a huge improvement and the new place is way bigger and the amount of books and programs for self learning or learning as group is here is very helpful they even have a kid section in case you wanna keep your kids separated from older folks. This place I would totally recommend for people. Is really relaxing and has great security as well.

Every time I come to the public library, staff is very disrespectful especially the lady's that sit down by the computers . I asked for help an a employee go very mad and told me if I didn't know how to work the printer that I was in the wrong place and I have no clue why I was being attacked by the employee woman. I then just paid for my papers and she shoved my money in my hand and didn't say a word as I completed coping my print out. I wouldn't take my children again because such disrespect from employees.

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Clean environment and lots of amenities and surprises. Lots CDs,DVDs & Video games to choose from aside from books. Private study rooms & you can borrow a laptop. Time allotted for computer use is generous. Signed up for a High school completion program as well. This place has is all. Compared to the service I received back in the City of Lancaster which was horrible when asking for help this place was Day and Night. Definitely recommend.

I don't know who's in charge there but my granddaughters happened to see a note on the librarians desk of the kids section to not give anymore reading prizes to my granddaughters . My granddaughters thought they were in trouble. I thought they were supposed to be encouraged to read . I've been told that there is nothing there stating there is a limit to how many prizes they can get .It shouldn't matter the important thing is they want to read and someone leaving a note like this made them both want to leave ,the person that left this note should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Well what do you know I get a response from the owner that these concerns should be brought up to the supervisor to address these issues, my wife did and it was brushed off like nothing . Library's are for people to want to read not feel like you did something wrong especially as a child wanting to read. I will definitely let people know about this because i believe children should be encouraged to read if not close your building and let the homeless use it as their next encampment .

Very nice with great staff. It's easy to find any book, CD, Geneology, access to computers all with a library card. Very quite and great place to study, read, or look things up on just about anything!

Staff is friendly and helpful! Clean and has good reading/ work areas. Computer usage for a PL is one of the best I've ever been. If I had one suggestion... more toddler books.

Clean, helpful, well stocked.

We have been patrons of almost a dozen libraries and while this is very much like most libraries it was a pleasure to visit. It is spacious, well organized, and clean. There is a dedicated children’s wing and quite study rooms. The staff we very friendly and polite.

I had a pleasant experience at this library. The staff was friendly, they have a great selection of books, and there's plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. The nice lady at the front desk was understanding of my situation with the Porterville library and allowed me to return my book there, even going as far as issuing me a new library card to replace the one I lost. It's easy to find a book intriguing enough to read, so I can definitely see myself coming back here in the future.
