Mrs. Megan has been a gift from the LORD for my son. He is reading better and enjoys working with her. We have worked with other dyslexia tutors in the past, but Mrs. Megan’s approach has been unique and by far the most effective. She has really tried to understand my son and how he learns, and she tailors the lessons entirely for him. I can tell that she truly cares about his success and puts so many unique skills she has to work to ensure that he makes progress. She is always upbeat, friendly, and extremely patient and understanding as well. I’m very thankful to the LORD that we found her! 🙂

Virtual Milestone Academy has helped me and my 5th grade son in countless ways! He had received special education services from our school for three years with little progress. Once he started tutoring with Megan we could see big improvements in his reading right away! Her help in navigating IEP meetings has been amazing. In addition the way she has gentle and patiently educated me in all things dyslexia, neurodivergent, special needs, etc has been beyond what I was hoping for. She breaks things down to meet me where I am at, AND then gives me the information to become more and more knowledgeable.
Her influence on my son has opened doors for him that I never thought possible and I will forever be grateful. Life changing for both me and him!!

She has been so helpful to work with our son, and support him after diagnosing him with Dyslexia. Her expertise with establishing a caring relationship and guiding him to better reading skills has been tremendous. She is patient, kind, and an expert in helping kids read. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Megan worked with my daughter 12 years ago as a speech therapist for 7 years for delayed speech and feeding aversions. She advocated for her in many ways. A memory popped up in my memory feed today. My daughter would sometimes get into these behaviors that she does not want to eat or drink. This one time in 2017, my daughter just refused to drink anything even the doctor could not find a reason. So Megan made an emergency therapy appointment and worked with my daughter to get her to drink. And this worked..My family and I will always be grateful to having Megan in our lives.

Megan is an absolute godsend. She has been working with my son, who has dyslexia, for most of this school year. During this time, I have seen such a change in his skills, confidence and willingness to read independently. He was below grade level at beginning of the year and is almost all caught up now!! He no longer feels insecure about his disability and approaches reading with confidence and enthusiasm. He’s even started reading by himself at bedtime (something he did NOT enjoy before we met Megan).

She is patient, flexible and very adept at keeping my son motivated and engaged, even if that means switching tasks or terminating a session early because she can tell he is starting to burnout. Her strategies and teaching style are well-informed, unique and customized to my son’s individual needs, personality and mood on any given day. It’s clear she puts A LOT of thought and preparation into the curriculum. The amount and importance of the data she collected at the onset of their time together cannot be understated. She continues to assess his progress and tweak her approach to suit my son’s individual needs/personality. She has been very helpful in educating us and providing specific ways to support him and understand our limitations as working parents with no literacy background.

I cannot say enough good things about her. If you’re looking for a well-educated, competent and fun individual who truly cares about and takes the time to get to know your child, Megan is that person. She is so invested in his progress that we often celebrate his strides and lament his setbacks together. She treats him like her own son, which in my opinion, is priceless!

Megan is a phenomenal addition to my network of speech-language pathologists. She generously offers creative and thorough ideas to try to solve problems I reach out to her about. Her compassion for her clients, her knowledge base, and her training in structured literacy from the University of Florida Literacy Institute are incredibly impressive. I have 100% confidence recommending her as speech-language pathologist and as consultant to families seeking guidance for all the WH-questions that come up with neurodiverse children: WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, and HOW. Everyone needs a Megan Cawlfield, I can’t say enough good things!

I am very pleased with my experience with these kind hearted professionals.
