Great organization aimed at providing anyone and everyone in the Lone Star state with as many opportunities to grow in their craft. Great information dissemination and very, very friendly. Their monthly workshops offer a great place to network with others in the local Austin area and really provides the support network that writing sometimes doesn't give you alone (being a solitary profession and all). The guest speakers they have are wonderful, the coordinators knowledgeable, and it is this fantastic environment that really helps keep the writing spirit alive in Texas. You don't have to be in Austin to feel the positivity and good the Writers' League of Texas is doing.

The WLT is a huge resource for Texas. Having been an attendee at the Agents and Editors Conference as well as a speaker at the Third Thursday sessions, I've seen in person the hard work the staff does to give writers in Texas and beyond a clear and helpful picture of the publishing process. They go above and beyond to prepare writers for how best to talk about their work and how to navigate the industry. I've received direct feedback from attendees about how useful and helpful the WLT, and the knowledgeable staff are.

The Writer's League of Texas is an indispensable organization! What a helpful, welcoming and inclusive group. From instructional classes to panel discussions to literary readings, everything about the atmosphere of a WLT event feels special. I've worked with the executive director and program director on numerous occasions, and can't say enough about what a great community of writers they've fostered, and what a professional operation they run. I am a huge fan of the WLT! I've had the opportunity to teach classes for the organization and really appreciate all the support I've received from the ED and the WLT staff. My students have been incredible, and I am consistently impressed with their talent. The online courses are a great option for those living outside of Austin, and the annual Agents and Editors conference is amazing--it's the place where I met my agent and have connected with many editors. Love what the WLT offers the Austin--and Texas--literary community.

The Writers' League does amazing work supporting writers across the state. I've learned so much from their classes, panels, and conferences. Besides providing education and craft knowledge (and fun!), they also support Texas authors by offering unique teaching opportunities. After attending several events in Dallas put on by the Austin-based Writers' League of Texas, I learned just how essential they are to the literary life of our great BIG state. As a writer who finds literary community so important, the resources and programming that WLT provides are invaluable. The attached photo is from an event I attended at Interabang Books hosted and moderated by WLT. The entire evening was dedicated to discussing literary community, where to find it, and how to get plugged in. WLT does this around the state and I can't wait to attend more of their events. I'm not sure where Texas letters would be without The Writers' League of Texas. Thank you for everything you do, and keep up the good work!

I learned about WLT before I even moved to Austin. Over the last several years I’ve seen firsthand the amazing impact their programs and services have had on the Austin writing community. The Third Thursday’s I’ve been to have been engaging and thought provoking. I felt part of the group from the beginning, which was a nice feeling as a new Austinite. Their memoir writing class helped me organize my thoughts so I could outline my story and understand the best structure for my project.
