We love Read Write Grow! My reluctant reader really blossomed here with Katerina and we could not be happier. Katerina is truly a master of her craft, she won over my initially skeptical kid in no time and now my daughter is reading EVERYTHING, looks forward to her reading days, and has gained a ton of academic confidence. We commute here from Oakland and it is 100% worth the traffic to work with Katerina.

I also appreciate that RWG has a reading nook for siblings and a small area where parents can set up a laptop to work while their kid's being tutored.

I can't say enough about how much Miss Malorie at Read Write Grow has benefitted our daughter. She started working with Miss Malorie last June and we have seen a total turn around in not only her math abilities but also her attitude. She CHOOSES to work on math problems vs being forced to. She loves going to her weekly tutoring sessions. That is mind blowing if you knew where we started. It's helped her tremendously keeping up with a rigorous math program at school. Our second grade student has a form of dyslexia that makes it hard for her to read. Struggling at school, she started to get pretty discouraged and at one point last year resigned herself to saying that she, unlike her classmates, just wasn’t very good at reading. School, which had always been a happy place for our child, became something she wanted to avoid.

Since we started taking classes with Katerina our child has made remarkable progress and reading is now something she has come to enjoy. The classes are well organized, and Katerina through recorded videos provides a lot of insight into how the lessons are going.

What works: our child had the following to say about Katerina: “She’s amazing, I love her — she is always so helpful, kind and patient. I want to go to her everyday after school. She really helped build up my confidence about reading, and I now really enjoy reading books like Dog Man.”

We began seeing Malorie for our 7 year old daughter a little more than a year ago. Our daughter was struggling to read and was performing well under grade level standards. With consistent tutoring, twice per week Malorie has transformed our reluctant reader into a confident second grader who is reading at grade level and for fun! Malorie is very skilled at identifying the specific needs of each student she works with through various assessment methods. She creates a learning plan based on these specific needs and continues to monitor for growth. She also supported us in our IEP meeting with the school district. We cannot be more grateful that we found Read, Write, Grow when we did. Our daughter has gained so much confidence academically and we’re thrilled that she’s keeping up with her classmates.
