Phenomenal! A team of three beta- readers reviewed three of my approximate 5000-word fictional stories, and gave varied opinions and suggestions. No edits, just excellent feedback.
Unbiased opinions, far different from my friends and writing group who have difficulty removing me from my writing, and who tend to tread lightly.
Next, I will employ Darling Axe to edit my manuscripts. The cost is reasonable, and worth it.

My experience with The Darling Axe was amazing. Michelle Barker is a real professional and her feedback helped me so much. I had a development edit which made me understand what I was doing wrong and showed me how to improve. I'll always count on Michelle for anything that I'm writing. I sent my first ten pages for a sample edit and was totally impressed by Heather Tekavec’s editing. She really got what my novel was, and found ways to improve what I was trying to say. Eventually, Heather worked on my entire manuscript: suggesting places where I needed more, cutting any fat, and adding depth and drama in just the right places. I learned so much, gained a better understanding of how a novel works and comes together, and how to create four-dimensional characters. I coudn’t recommend Heather more!

Great service and customer service. The costs of editing are quite accessible to writers who are on a limited budget. Will definitely return for more edits. I’ve worked with Eric Wong and Heather Tekavec. Both are great but in my opinion Heather has better customer service.

Eric Wong in particular helped me get a contract for a small press, and David Brown is always on the ball when it comes to contracts!
