Mrs. Cathy made me feel safe and comfortable while assessing my concerns in my home. Her extensive knowledge and experience made me feel confident in asking questions and allowed me to open up about the pain I was experiencing with my baby’s latch process. Mrs. Cathy made each visit feel very personable as she really listened and carefully crafted a lactation plan for baby and I to follow after every assessment. I would recommend Mrs. Cathy to any and everyone who is nervous about reaching out for help as she will not push you to do anything you do not want to do. She encourages you to say no to the things you are not interested in as the breastfeeding journey is about you and your baby. I will be reaching back out to Mrs. Cathy if I ever have anymore questions or concerns about my breastfeeding journey with my baby.

Look no more, Cathy Porter is absolutely the best Lactation Consultant in the valley! She has a wide wealth of knowledge from 25+ years of experience and I know from experience that she will use all of it to make sure you are successful reaching your breastfeeding goals. She is an IBCLC who stays up-to-date with the most recent breastfeeding studies and recommendations and also has been part of our local breastfeeding coalition for years. THIS IS HER PASSION!

I've known Cathy for 10 years. She came over on the weekend when I was home with a newborn, desperate, sleep deprived, and super confused on how to feed my sweet baby. I had no idea what I was doing! I was impressed with how much time she took with us and how encouraging she was.

Because of Cathy, I've been able to not only successfully nurse five children, but also share the knowledge with others. The best thing she taught me was to trust my instincts and follow my "mommy heart".

I have used Cathy and her expertise for both of my children thus far. Cathy is thorough, extremely encouraging, and knows just how to help you, not only with breastfeeding, but also in your motherhood journey in general. My second baby was in the NICU for 1 month, and only used to bottles. Cathy was able to help me switch to nursing and we have been nursing strong for 9 months now.

Cathy was recommended by my midwife after I was having pain during breastfeeding a couple days after giving birth. Cathy was super responsive and was able to find time to come to my home that same day. She was so kind, gentle and reassuring in a time I felt very vulnerable and unsure. She validated the struggle I was having and encouraged me to keep practicing the new skill while giving me more strategies. Her strategies were geared to what my son and I needed based on her observation of us. She followed up multiple times after our first visit and answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. Four months later, my son and are are doing great with breastfeeding and he’s been able to transition to bottle feeding during the day while I’m at work. Thank you Cathy!

Cathy is so sweet and personable. She helped in ways where, as a new mom, I felt scared and lost. She listened when I cried as I embarked on a new journey of being a mom. She's amazing, she helped me so much with my breast feeding journey. I was about to give up because of how much pain breast feeding was causing me. But I saw the lactation network in an ad in the night while scrolling and it connected me to her.
